A Japanese professional footballer is launching his own crypto-currency to increase fan engagement.
On 22 October, Cointelegraph Japan reported that Keisuke Honda, former midfielder of the Japanese national team and currently captain of the Brazilian team of Botafogo, has launched his personal token to build new ties with his fans.
The „KSK Honda Coin“ was launched last Thursday through Rally.io, a blockchain platform for creating video streaming and gaming applications. The new coin is intended to allow fans to interact with Honda.
KSK Honda owners will be able to get exclusive content from Honda and interact with the player through private channels on Discord. Honda said:
